Torres del Paine, Patagonia, Chile
A Scottish writer, Lady Florence Dixie, published a book Across Patagonia in 1880 which gave one of the first descriptions of the three towers of the Torres del Paine. Since then it has been an alluring attraction to the hundreds of thousands of visitors who flock to the dramatic geographical formations every year. These peaks are monumental by their presence and there must be millions of photographs taken here overtime, yet that the morning mist was still clearing, which beautifully enhanced the brilliant textures of the granite walls. Over the next days the Towers never seemed to look the same as on this very special morning.
