The Goryu Ridge, Hakuba, Honshu, Japan Rays by Konrad B. was captured while climbing up the ridge, high above the Olympic village of Hakuba, the early morning sun burnt through the mist, highlighting the architecture of the delicate Japanese forests. Nature is the foundation of so many aspects of Japanese life, be it their culture, or religion and most certainly their art and time spent in the wilderness on this island just consistently confirms that.

Torres del Paine, Patagonia, Chile A Scottish writer, Lady Florence Dixie, published a book Across Patagonia in 1880 which gave one of the first descriptions of the three towers of the Torres del Paine. Since then it has been an alluring attraction to the hundreds of thousands of visitors who flock to the dramatic geographical formations every year. These peaks are monumental by their presence and there must be millions of photographs taken here overtime, yet that the morning mist was still clearing, which beautifully enhanced the brilliant textures of the granite walls. Over the next days the Towers never seemed to look the same as on this very special morning.
