I have created a wide variety of art over the years and found sculpture to be the most satisfying. Creating a sculpture allows me to create an object that gives the perception of life and movement. I begin my sculptures by finding a unique base or found object. I enjoy walking through the forests and even an antique store looking for that unique object to include in my sculptures. These objects help form the the basic premise of a sculpture. Once I know how the object will be included, I determine what type of bird or animal would fit the object. I research the subject’s movement and its interaction with the environment, beginning to build the sculpture. My art revolves around creating sculptures that are appealing, interactive and meaningful. Through my process, inspiration, and intentions and strive to convey stories through my sculptures.
